BEING BETTER IN AN UNCERTAIN ENVIRONMENT:
MAKING YOUR TEAM WORK
It is no secret that teamwork has its own set of dynamics that often need special attention if we are going to have success. These dynamics are that much harder to manage when the overall work environment is particularly challenging or uncertain. This half-day session brings together three fundamental themes that will give your team a foundation to manage this uncertainty.
The first theme is an overview or summary of the elements of a high functioning team and the characteristics of great team players. The second theme addresses the nature of workplace stress and how to manage it. The purpose of this section is to highlight some of the consequences often experienced with workplace stress and some coping strategies that can be used. And the third theme focuses on building a respectful workplace. This section takes a look at the behaviours that build, and potentially erode a positive working environment and offers some practical considerations that can be used to address them.
An emphasis on practical application is maintained throughout the course and ties all three themes together.
